Pursue the Ultimate Prize in Fly Fishing

For many anglers, catching a Permit is the pinnacle of saltwater fly fishing — a challenge so rewarding it is often compared to earning a PhD in the sport.

Discovery

A Newly Proven Permit Fishery

Over the past several years, we have developed a highly productive Permit fishery north of the Joulters Cays — an area that had remained largely overlooked for decades.

Although known to local guides for over 20 years, this open-water habitat was rarely fished because it lies outside the traditional bonefish flats. Through extensive exploration and careful observation, we discovered that large Permit move through during a seasonal migration in late summer and fall.

The result is a remarkably consistent fishery in shallow three- to four-foot water, offering anglers frequent shots at some of the largest Permit in the Bahamas.

The Advantage

Trophy Permit in Ideal Conditions

There are many destinations known for Permit fishing — few combine consistency with the size of fish we encounter here.

01

World-Class Size

Trophy-class Permit that consistently exceed the averages of traditional Caribbean flats.

02

Clean Sandy Bottom

Pristine white sand habitats with zero coral structure to snag or break off the fish of a lifetime.

03

Shallow Visibility

Three to four feet of gin-clear water provides ideal sight-fishing for novice and expert spotters alike.

04

Daily Opportunity

A late-summer and fall migration produces consistent shots at actively feeding fish following rays.

A sandy bottom with no coral heads, means you won’t lose the fish of a lifetime to underwater obstacles.
